Getting started

Do I need an invite to use it?

No. Anyone can create an account and use the castle planning on their own. You need an invite link only to join a specific alliance, and your R5 or an R4 can create one in seconds and paste it wherever your alliance talks.

Do my members need email addresses?

No. They open the invite link, type their in-game name, pick a password, and they are in. Only the person who creates the alliance gives an email, because it is the one way to reach the owner and to recover the account.

Do I have to type everyone's password for them?

Not any more. That was the old way and it still works if you have a member who will never open a link, but the invite link is the normal path now, and it means you never see anyone's password.

Does it connect to the game?

No. It does not read your game account, and it cannot play for you. Everything in it is information you enter yourself. That is deliberate: tools that touch a game account are how people lose them.

Plans and payment

What does the free tier actually give me?

All of your own castle tracking: Royal Tech, Normal Tech, Virtue, hero roster, spec planner, buildings, hourlies and Dragon Master. Plus your alliance's newsfeed, season scores and shared builds. There is no time limit and no cap on how many members an alliance can have.

What is the difference between the two paid plans?

Personal (€7.99 a month) is about your own castle: your goal and plan, hero skills, skins and combos, the Eden calculator, and asking the alliance for advice. You buy it for yourself.

Alliance (€17.99 a month) is about running the alliance: shieldwalls, targets, emergency access, member activity, castle profiles, Eden leaders and season score recording. A leader buys it once and every member of that alliance gets it.

If my leader pays, do I get the Personal features too?

No. The Alliance plan covers the alliance's shared tools for everyone, and includes the Personal features only for the person paying for it. Personal is bought per player.

Can members see the shieldwall and targets if they have not paid?

Yes. Once anyone funds the alliance, every member sees the rosters, can volunteer, and gets the reminders. A roster the people on it cannot see would not be much of a roster.

What happens if I change alliance?

Everything you recorded about your own castle comes with you, and so does your Personal plan. What you lose is the things that only meant something in the alliance you left: your castle buddies, your shieldwall slots and any target you had signed up for.

What happens if our R5 quits while paying?

The alliance keeps everything until the end of the period already paid for. After that it goes read-only, and any leader can start a new subscription to bring it back. Nothing is deleted and nobody has to hand anything over.

What happens if we stop paying?

The alliance pages go read-only. You keep every account, every member and all your history, and it all comes back the moment somebody subscribes again. We never delete data because a subscription lapsed.

Is there a discount for paying yearly?

Yes: €79 a year for Personal and €179 for Alliance, which is roughly two months free on either.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from the billing portal. You keep what you paid for until the period ends. See the terms for refunds.

Privacy and safety

What can my leaders see?

Your in-game name, coordinates, castle type, active hours, hero ownership and whether you are signed up for a shieldwall or target. Your research, specs and Eden planning are yours, and leaders only see them if you ask for advice. The full list is in the terms.

Can another alliance see our data?

No. Every query is scoped to the alliance of the account making it, taken from the signed-in session and never from anything in the address bar. Not even the site admin can read an alliance's member data.

Where is my data stored?

On Microsoft Azure in Germany, along with the database. Account email goes through Brevo in France. Details in the privacy notice.

Can I get my data out, or delete everything?

Both, from your account page, without asking anyone. The export is a JSON file of everything we hold about you. The delete is permanent.

The tool itself

Is the game data accurate?

Mostly, and where it is not, the app says so. The publisher does not publish research costs, so they are compiled from player observation. Where a cost is beyond what is known, the totals are labelled as "at least this much" rather than quietly guessing.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, and it can be installed to your home screen. Push notifications work on Android, desktop, and on iPhone once it is added to the home screen.

Is it in my language?

The app is in English, German, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. These public pages are English only for now.

Are you affiliated with the game?

No. RoC Command is an independent tool made by players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the publisher of Rise of Castles.
